You can enter through the Triathlon Ireland website: www.triathlonireland.com/Events/Race-Calendar/ If you have any issue, please double check that the race option you have selected is available (noting that there is no relay team option), that you have selected the correct age group, and that you haven't already entered the race. If you have an unexplained error, drop us a line at harbourman@wicklowtri.com and we will get it sorted for you as soon as possible.
It certainly is. The swim all takes place within Wicklow Harbour, the course is relatively flat and there will be lots of support along the course. All-in-all this makes this race ideal for your first attempt at the Olympic/Standard distance.
Yes, the entrance fee is €90
Yes, wetsuits are compulsory.
There are 3 opportunities to register - see our schedule page for more details. If you can make it to Base2Race before race day, we strongly recommend taking up on one of the registration slots there. Long queues are expected on the morning of the race and pre-registration means that you can arrive to set up in the transition area relaxed and focused on your race.
We expect all swim waves to start between 1 and 2pm. Further detail will follow with your race pack closer to the day.
Everyone doing the swim needs to be confident that they are able to swim the relevant distance in open water. If you are worried about this, how about entering a sprint relay team so that a friend can do the swim for you.
Yes, as this is a Triathlon Ireland sanctioned event, a racing membership card or one day license are obligatory. These are available through the TI website. Please don't leave it to the last minute, as one day licenses will only be on sale until a few days before the event, and if you turn up to registration without a license you will be unable to race.
No, we'll be giving you 2 numbers which you can pin onto the front and back of your race attire, so race belts are optional.
No. Standard TI draft zones will be in operation and enforced by draft-busters on the course.
There are no refunds however transfers can be made up to 2 weeks before race date.
