The Youth Section of Wicklow Triathlon Club was launched in 2012 and has since been going from strength-to-strength with over 30 boys and girls aged from 8 to 16. We cater for all abilities, from those who are just starting out in sport, to those who are seasoned runners, cyclists or swimmers. The aim of the club is to help encourage, drive and coach any child who wants to improve their triathlon skills and to also have a little fun along the way with their other club mates.
Training sessions usually take place either on Sunday mornings or afternoons, with each weekly session focusing on a different element of triathlon training - swimming, biking or running. We will notify parents in advance of each session to make them aware of the date, time and location details.
All of our coaches are qualified with Triathlon Ireland or Swim Ireland. We also hold sessions on bike skills/maintenance, nutrition, racing tips, etc. so that your child gets plenty of great advice to prepare them the wonderful world of triathlon.
