Jamie,
Some of us lesser but none the less enthusiastic mortals were looking to do a shorter spin (50km or so) on New Years Day ...we reckon John Darcy could be persuaded to be a leader.
Is this possible ? Thanks

No problem!

There is a 50(ish) km route that brings you up to Sally Gap! Then back direct to round wood!

Still a challenge!

Great but nippy spin yesterday. Most thought the hard work was done when we got to the waterfall but no. Quick stop at the crossroads where three brave souls took a left and headed towards the Wicklow Gap, The rest took a cheeky descent into Eniskerry where we queued for an age to get a hot drink at the kingfisher in Enniskerry -the lucky few got shawls outside to wrap themselves in!Bless! Think Siobhan D got some photos! Original plan was to get warm, get back home and get a lift to Asford but Nicola (who had made chocolate brownies for everyone!) said let's keep going so we did-worth it for the brownie!

84k in total and great to see a good gang out

Happy New Year all WTC members!

Have now barely recovered from a the spin yesterday.
I finally got to the top of Sally gap... Not fully knowing what the rest of the route entailed I headed back for Rathdrum and some more hills before it started to go downhill. Unfortunatly I only added up 67km even though my bottom felt like it was at least twice that! :pinch:

Thank you so much to Darren, Dave, Dermo, Des and Aaron for sticking with me and pulling me up! Sorry for slowing you down... :(

Happy New year to you all! See you Saturday!

Cheers, Jenny
