Something a little different this week. Weather looks ok so we'll give Trooperstown a go. This is a regular winter spin for the Wheelers and all very safe and doable on the road bike.
With a lot of group 5 going to Donegal I'll put 3 and the remainder of 5 together.

Linus and John know the roads for groups 5/3 and 2. I'll go with the early group this week so nobody gets lost.

Group 1 : New2Tri (Sign on 9.45am - Departs 10.00am)
Leader for this week: Garry Keogh.
Distance 27km / 41km / 54km

Group 3/5 plus group 4 longer route. 74kmkm
Ashford - Miltown - Glenealy.
Right at the railway bridge after Glenealy keeping left at the fork at the top of the hill to Spagetti junction.
Right to Moneystown following the road to Tomriland crossroads towards Roundwood
Left at the crossroads to Annamoe
Left in Annamoe towards Laragh
At the Mountain Rescue centre before Laragh turn left into the woods. Take your time so you don't overshoot the turn!
This is a hard packed forest road and perfectly safe to use on your road bike.
Follow it down to the river and across the bridge then keeping straight climb out the other side. (this is a long steady climb so take your time)
Wait for everyone at road at the top
Right across to a steep descent to Bookies Bridge road (be careful here)
Right down to Bookies then left to Rathdrum.
Through the town then right to Ballinaclash
Left to the end of the straight mile then left and immediate left to The Meetings (steep at the bottom so be careful)
Left back towards Rathdrum
Right before the Ballinaclash turn to Avondale House to Rathdrum.
Right to Glenealy then left back by Bel-Air.

Right to Glenealy and left back by Bel-Air.

On a safety note.
To avoid having to overtake the group ahead can Group 5 leave first followed by 3 then 2.
