Saturday spin Feb 2nd.

Saturday's forecast is dry and cold with a NW wind. Frost and ice slow to clear with temperatures of only 1 or 2 degrees and a wind chill factor of -3!!!
With this in mind I'm putting up a main road out and back route for everyone.

Please only go if its safe to do so or maybe leave it till later in the day when it might be better.

Distance 80km. Each group can turn at a point on the route they feel comfortable with.

Ashford - Rathnew - Hawkstown road - Beehive - Arklow - Inch and return the same way.

Folks

For anyone planning to cycle with Group 3 tomorrow, David Gillespie will be leading it and they will be doing the longer 82km route.

Thanks

Saturday club spin 16th Feb.

Weather's looking mild and dry with south westerly breeze.

Group 1 New 2 Tri - leader Garry Keogh
figure of 8 loop, with escape points
www.strava.com/activities/2006213540

Group 2 plus 4 shorter route. Leader - John Darcy 71km
Milltown lane - Glenealy - Rathdrum (wait for everyone at the top of the hill)
Right to Ballinaclash then left to Aughrim.
Straight through Aughrim past the Gaa pitch keeping left at the next fork for the back road to Tinahealy.
Follow the road (its lumpy) to the left turn for Annacurra at just over 31km to T junction on the main Tinahealy to Aughrim road.
Left back to Aughrim then straight to Woodenbridge.
At this point you can turn left back through Rathdrum for 71km or for an extra bit right to Arklow and back the coast road which will bring it up to 82km.
There's also the option to turn earlier in Aughrim for anyone who doesn't want to go too far, about 60km.
There should be a tail wind either way.
