We'll be kicking off our open water coached swimming sessions towards the end of May. Similarly to last year, we'll be looking for some members to volunteer to support to our coaches. You won't actually have to do any coaching, it's just to help the coaches by keeping an eye on the swimmers in the water and making sure no one wanders off or gets into difficulty. Also, don't worry, you won't have to help out every week. If we get enough volunteers on the rota, then you'll only have to do 1 week.
In advance of then, John Doyle will be organising rescue board training for those who'll be helping out, so we're looking for some of you (8 people to start with) to put your names forward for the rescue board training and then commit to helping out with at least 1 Monday night swim. We need these volunteers in order for the swim sessions to go ahead, so I'm hoping we'll see a flood of volunteers.
So please let us know if you're available to help, by either replying to this post or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Go on!!!! It'll be kinda like starring in a real-life episode of Baywatch
